SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- OmniVision Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of advanced digital imaging solutions, today announced the OV2744, a 1.4-micron PureCel? image sensor that features the company's second-generation, industry-leading RGB-Ir technology. The OV2744 enables advanced biometric capabilities such as facial recognition for front-facing cameras in notebooks, tablets and smartphones.
